This might be the most flexible idea of easy to make handmade cards EVER!

You all know I love coming up with ideas for easy to make handmade cards, many of which you can make in just minutes. I was playing around with this Hostess Set (see below for details) and the bough punch I used here to show you how to use up card stock scraps. It's super cute and was incredibly easy to make.

Now when I looked at it I first thought this is such a sweet card idea you can use to send a hug in the mail!  I love the simplistic look, plus all the texture. But then I realized that this design is one you can use over and over (and over and over) and by just switching out colors, patterns and sentiments – even using the same shapes and layout – this is a card you can make into a literal ANY occasion card.

It uses a current favorite stamp set of mine that's a hostess set…

It's just so sweet!  And you might be wondering how you can get this stamp set without having a party.  I get asked this a LOT!  But did you know that ALL orders over $150 earn free host goodies?  And with the retiring list hot off the presses, it isn't hard to get to $150! Remember, prices are going up in the new catalog on lots of items and while we are talking quarters, add them all up and those can be dollars. So it REALLY pays to stock up now!

And I have another ordering trick to help you get not 1, but 2 hostess items, down below.  But first let's talk about the card…

easy to make handmade cards don't get more versatile than this one with white on white layers and simple die cuts

Have the white layers on top of white layers, on top of white layers, with just a little focal point to one side, gives you so many opportunities to add texture to your card.  Just adding one layer onto another layer will do that.  But by making a “dry embossed sandwich” – white, then dry embossed white, then white – BAM!  That texture jumps off the page.

All you have to do is add a cute paper circle, a couple of leaves and flowers from the Bough Punch, your sweet sentiment, a little scalloped trim, and you are done.

Oops, almost done… don't forget that sweet little Linen Thread bow tied with the 10 Second Bow Maker.

This card looks way more complicated than it is, but because it uses such basic elements, you can mass produce so many of these in no time at all. AND use up scraps for the circle and the greenery. AND use all those cute sentiments you haven't had an excuse to use yet.

Remember I said I would share a little ordering trick?  So when your order reaches at least $150 in merchandise you get Stampin' Rewards and you earn host dollars.  You can use those dollars towards anything in the catalog but it also allows you to order items that are exclusively for hosting/large order rewards.  If you are trying to choose between the stamp set we used today, Expressions of Friendship and the other one, Mischievous Mice, you don't have to choose!

Your $150 order gets you $15 in host dollars, you can put in both stamp sets and just pay the difference!  Many people also think they have to stay under the host dollar limit, because that's the way it used to be. But you CAN offset the cost of any of the exclusive to “hostesses” products so don't skip looking at them just because you think you aren't a “hostess”!
