These tag punch Christmas cards are a huge time saver and the results are *adorable*!
So many times we look at a tag punch and just think, “tags” – these tag punch Christmas cards will help you see this shape in a whole new light! I love using supplies in fun and creative ways and the classic shape of this Essential Tag Punch is perfect for this. The size of the punch makes it perfect for tags, but you can also use it on an A2 card as a color blocking element and have a stunning result. And by lining them up top-to-top, you get some additional visual interest with no additional work.
Let me show you the card and then I will tell you more.
The Project
Here is the super fun Christmas card made using the Essential Tag punch:
How fun is that, right? The card base is 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″. Then you punch out six tags and layer then onto your card base.
For mine, I went with scraps of patterned paper and then I made my own patterned paper with the Candy Cane background stamp in Real Red ink onto Basic White card stock. Then punched out three of them.
Stamp your sentiment 3 times onto narrow strips of Basic White card stock cut from even more scraps.
PRO TIP: Depending on your patterned paper, your sentiment might get lost in the pattern – a quick tip to fix that is a simple circle behind it of another color of card stock. Then use Dimensionals to raise them up and that instantly solves your problem!
To fill the gaps in the middle of the tags, add a couple of bows tied with linen thread and your 10 Second Bow Maker to make sure the bows are the same size.
And just like that, you're done!
Let me share the supplies that I used to make this…
