These sunflower cards for friendship celebrations are so perfect!

I realize this is a congratulations stamp and yes, this card can be used for that purpose, but I see these sunflower cards for friendship acknowledgements, too! Sunflowers are so big and glorious and showy and what better symbol to use to show a friend how big and glorious their accomplishments, even their existence means to you?
And actually, one of my favorite stamp sets this year is the Celebrate Sunflowers.  I have gotten way more out of this stamp set than I ever thought I would and the fact that it comes with dies means that I can use these fabulous flowers in a flash!

Today I am going to share yet another card using them and below I have links to several other projects using it 🙂

In case you aren't familiar with this stamp and die set, let me share it with you:

So you have these gorgeous sunflowers in different sizes AND amazing fontiments (that's what we say in Stamping Family when the sentiment is just as awesome as the fonts).  So you get it all in one stamp set.  There is an optional die set which is worth its weight in gold as to not to have to do all that hand cutting!

I am adding just a handful of supplies to go along with this stamp set and die set to make an amazing card – just some rhinestones and three sets of blends (and of course the card stock and basic tools). Now a note about the frame – I had that in my scrap bin and it added some nice grounding so I used it!

stamped and die cut blossoms, a single sentiment stamp and a die cut frame comes together as sunflower cards for friendship

It's not essential but try this. Take your fingers and put them on your screen to cover the frame.  See how you can make this card without it?  But then you remove your fingers and it's like a YES! moment.  And we love those moments as card makers, don't we?  You can easily make a quick frame similar to this – simply use your trimmer to cut out a 3″ square, then cut a 2 3/4″ square from the inside of it (or use a die set you have, like the retired Layering Squares set from Stampin' Up!).  Like I said above, I had this die cut scallop piece in my scrap bin and wanted to use it up. SAVE YOUR SCRAPS!

Do a little coloring, a little die cutting, sprinkle on some rhinestones and you are good to go!
