Stampin Up Epic Celebrations | Sale a Bration

This converse wearing girly LOVES the new Stampin' Up! Epic Celebrations stamp set – it is part of Sale-a-Bration 2018!  Every once is a while there comes a stamp that just screams out your personality, and this one stamp, not the entire set, but this one stamp is simply perfect for me.  Who do you know that wears them?  This card will be perfect for them too!

When I first got my box of Sale-a-Bration items I had to play with this one first.  I was so excited I honestly didn't know where to start.  I was like a kid hopped up on Halloween candy celebrating Easter, Christmas, and a birthday all at once.  Like a cat that is sitting next to a bowl of treats and someone brings out a laser pointer.  Ever felt like that?

I wanted to make backgrounds with it, I wanted to use my Stampin' Blends with it, I wanted to heat emboss it, I wanted to try embossing paste on the laces.  So I started with what I wanted to do most with it, and that was to color them.  I wanted to make all different color Converse and I grabbed my Stampin' Blends to begin.

The color Blend I used came from the Bubbles & Fizz patterned paper.  This paper is another Sale-a-Bration item (gotta love free stamps AND free paper!)  Pulling in the colors of the patterned paper had me with a choice of either Bermuda Bay or Calypso Coral, I went the Coral route.

The Stampin' Blends are so incredibly easy to use, I had the shoes stamped and colored in under 5 minutes.  Lighter in some areas, darker in the shaded areas, and done!

But I still couldn't get the heat embossing out of my mind.  Where was I going to do that on this card?  Ahhh… the sentiment.  I used the “You're Awesome” stamp from the same set with the Converse, heat embossed it White embossing powder and just like that, this card was all but complete.

A quick turn of the Big Shot handle had my shoes cut out and the Lemon Lime Twist card stock since I have the Layering Circle Framelits.  All that was needed now was the background paper.  This is my FAVORITE pattern from the Bubbles & Fizz paper.  You can do so much with it!

• Calypso Coral:  5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″
• Whisper White:  2-1/4″ circle
• Basic Black:  1-1/8″ x 5-1/4″
• Lemon Lime Twist:  2-3/8″ Circle
• Bubbles & Fizz paper:  4″ x 5-1/4″
