Need to make a quick handmade thank you card?
I sure did today! If you read yesterday, I talked about wanting to use up scraps of current patterned paper, because I know there is new paper coming out soon – and it isn't that I won't love the old paper, I am just like a 6 year old when it comes to things in general. In other words, I am easily distracted by bright, shiny objects – in this case, new patterned paper.
What is sad in the paper crafting world? Dusting off patterned paper.
And before I forget – do you see that patterned paper that I used as a background? I will brag on myself here for a moment – this patterned paper is part of the iTeach Stamping Bundle of the Month this month. And I made the cutest stinkin' card using these umbrellas for the free tutorial that you get when you take advantage of that bundle through my online store. I can't wait for you all to see it and learn how to make it yourself!!! OK, bragging over.
While it may not look like a scrap – indeed it is. It is a piece that is 4″ x 5-1/4″ from the Sunshine & Sprinkles DSP and it is all that is left of that pattern. Add a strip of Whisper White, punch it out with a butterfly punch – add a sentiment, a little Melon Mambo Striped Organdy Ribbon from the Occasions Catalog.
I used the Word Window Punch along with the Bitty Banners Framelits – zipped it on through my Big Shot – for my sentiment. And that Thank You came from the Just Believe stamp set from Stampin' Up!
Then you notch out the bottom of the tag and away you go! I hope that if you are in need of a quick handmade thank you card that this one brought you some inspiration.
I’m relatively new to your blog, Meg. I’m enjoying going back to some of your older entries, finding lots of inspiration. TFS.
