How to Make a Quick Thank You Card (Paper Crafts Ideas)
Good Monday morning and welcome to paper crafts idea all about how to make a quick thank you card.
For this card, I went with minimal supplies, one stamp, one ink, one bright color and neutrals – and don't worry, all the supplies are listed at the bottom of the page. There is nothing like a black and white card with a pop of color.
This past weekend, my hubby and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary. We dated for almost 7 years before we got married. And my sweet sister came into town so that we could go out. (Everyone was out of town it seemed for the holiday weekend!) So I needed to whip up a card for sis thanking her for coming out here.
Look at how young we were! That's my Matt with our nephew, Carter – who is now driving. Matt is a great guy, with a devious streak to him. He is a great supporter of all I do and also the carpenter behind the 10 Second Bow Maker. Those are made in our garage, right here in the USA. He is a wonderful hubby and father and we are lucky to have him!
OK, I will quit talking about my crush and get back to the card…
It started with one piece of the Back to Black patterned paper. Since this paper is double sided, this worked out perfect. I cut them into strips and attached them onto the Whisper White card base. But then I wanted to make that top section pop a bit.
Using 1″ circles and half circles – I have circles on the brain from the latest Inspiration Posting in Stamping Family – I used alternating circles on the paper, and all black above the paper.
Then for the pop of color. I went with Daffodil Delight. Any color would have worked, but that cheery yellow on a rainy day like we are having this morning seemed meant to be.
I love my Stamp-a-Ma-Jig. Really. Love. It. I used that to get the perfect placement of my sentiment from the Four You stamp set from Stampin' Up! (Again, all supplies are listed below.)
The finishing touches for the front of the card came in with the Daffodil Delight ribbon and the 10 Second Bow Maker. I tied a double loop bow – and you will learn how to do that with the purchase of the bow maker – and attached into onto a strip of Daffodil Delight ribbon and the card was just about complete.
To completely finish out the front of the card, I went with another strip of patterned paper and a bit wider strip of Daffodil Delight card stock. I did have a hard time deciding which pattern to use, but chose the arrows in the end. Ahh, the joys of double sided paper can also be a challenge!
And there you have it. We have a great black, white & yellow thank you card.
