Hi Friends! Today we are making a masculine card with the Too Many Tools set that is so much fun to use!
BUT, for the first time, I am sharing a cover plate die that I ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ so much, I can't even put into words how much I love this die!
What I love most about this die is that you can use both the positive and negative parts of this cover plate die. I can't show the picture of it right in my post here, but click here to see what it looks like.
What I next love most about it is that the circles are different sizes! So if you want a small stitched circle for any cards, this is the die for you!
My 3rd love of this die is that the stitches are on both sides of the circles. So you will have stitches on the cover piece as well as on your circles.
One pass through your die cutting machine and you have a great cover die and a baggie of circles to use.
Today we are using just the background, but don't worry, I will soon be posting a project where we use the other pieces from it.
Ready to see it?
I hope so!
Here it is…

How fun is this card? That layer with all the circles cut out of it, that's the cover part of that die. So I popped out all the circles, set them aside for another project, then use it with foam adhesive behind it to really have that depth show through.
The sentiment is funny as can be, as Matt and I always joke about our PHDs laying around the craft room, the garage, the laundry room. We are GREAT at starting projects, not so great with finishing them, lol!
The tools and the sentiment are from the same awesome stamp set, which makes life so much easier. But you can pair so many different sentiments with these tools.
And I will share an idea I've been toying with for this stamp set. I think it would make a cute holiday workshop kind of card. Think Santa's workshop with the tools…. I think that would be cute!
I used my OLO markers for coloring in these images and I love those markers so dang much. They just last and last and last. I've been using them consistently for 14 months and I still love them as much as I did the first day I got them! That says a lot!
