Making a Handmade Thank You Card
It just wouldn't be a regular Monday if I was not making a handmade Thank You Card. There are so many people in my world that just do awesome things to help one another! This past weekend, several neighbors pulled together to help us out – and it's time for Thank You cards!
This card is for a neighbor that just is an incredible friend – she has had her world completely pulled out from under her these past few months. And yet she is still the first person to help someone else. Do you have a friend like that?
I hope so. We all need to have that friend and also to be that friend, right?
Things are a little crazy for us right now. You will hear more about that soon…
But with things being a little crazy, I went with a simple yet cute card.
By pulling in patterned paper as a base layer, I didn't need a lot of much else. All I really needed was the sentiment and the flower.
The trickiest part for me was what color palette to use. I logged into Stamping Family and saw this one and knew it would be perfect! (I LOVE the color combos we have in there!!! Shameless Plug for Stamping Family!
So now that I had the colors, I had the base paper – it was time to pull a Thank You stamp set. And I pulled the Another Thank You stamp set. It was the perfect size to go across my card.
For the flower – it was the Flower Shop stamp set all the way. It has a coordinating punch, that make it even easier.
But it still looked a little plain. I wanted simple but I didn't want plain.
A quick tag out off Melon Mambo did the trick, and a simple silver bow to finish it was exactly what it needed.
For the inside of the card, I just put in a Whisper White panel. Normally for these, I add them with temporary adhesive – take a photo, then I remove the panel.
Why remove it?
Because I am known for writing mess ups.
So I write and THEN stick it to the inside of my card.
Simple, and to me – perfect! And perfect for my neighbor – she will love the colors and love the card and also love that someone gave her a card and noticed what she did.
