Mini Treat Bag Thinlits | Make Your Own Treat Bags

It is so much fun to make your own treat bags – especially when you have this fun set of thinlit dies!  This die set is a set of 12 and extremely versatile – let me show you what I mean.  If you don't have this set of dies, NOW is the time to grab them before they sell out.

Here is the set of dies, (the red arrows are the four dies I used for today's project)

The Details

There is no stamping on this project, I used card stock, patterned paper, ribbon and a sequin – that's it!  What I love most on this is the die cut of the word enjoy – using both the positive and negative space of the “enjoy” die.

Getting Started

Grab the two biggest dies.  For this one, you only need 1/2 sheet of patterned paper and you just cut one of each of the two big dies.  (So you can make 24 of these treat bags with just one package of patterned paper from Stampin' Up!) I used the fabulous Bubbles & Fizz patterned paper – it is a Sale-a-Bration item, and remember that SAB only lasts through March 31, 2018.  You can read more about it here.

After you die cut your treat bag, assemble with your favorite adhesive.

Time to Decorate

Now we get to use the banner dies – this is still from that same set of dies.  You will want to die cut two of the banners, one in white and the other in black.

Using the black banner, die cut the word “enjoy” – also from the same die set.  You will have little pieces, like the middle of the loop “o”.  It's up to you if you want to add those back later, so don't throw them out.

Attach your black banner to your treat bag.  If you want to add back in the little pieces, now is the time to do it 🙂

Secure your “enjoy” word to your white banner, then you want to add it to your treat bag.  Now it's time to dot our “i” – I went with a fun sequin just to brighten it up a bit.  But you can also just used the die cut dot you have.

Tie a simple bow with coordinating ribbon, I used the metallic edge Berry Burst ribbon on mine.  Slap it on with a glue dot and you are done!
