A Thank You Card Anyone Can Make

Regardless of your paper crafting skill level, this card is a thank you card (and you can make it say anything) that anyone can make.  This card is heavy on punching and light on technique.

I started this card knowing what patterned paper I wanted to use – Twitterpated from Stampin' Up!  Why Twitterpated?  Because I have stragglers of this paper.  You see, I know that there is new paper coming soon with the new catalog release, and I  know myself well enough that when there is new paper in my stamp room, the old paper, while still loved, collects dust.  So any stragglers, such as this one, where I have just a little here and there of it left, is being used up right now.

I had lots of little scraps of this paper, and my 1-1/4″ Square punch was needing some love, so I picked four patterns and punched out one square of each.  Then I backed that with Baja Breeze card stock.  A Twitterpated stripes strip across the bottom and of course the lovely Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon was added, plus two little bows tied with the 10 Second Bow Maker.

Quick work was made of the sentiment, I used the Fabulous Phrases Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! and Riding Hood Red ink.  The Blossom Punch made the flower and various circle punches all but completed the middle of the flower.  A giant rhinestone was the final piece in making this card complete.  Hard to believe that this was made out of scraps, right?

If you have a 7-3/4″ x 7-3/4″ piece of patterned paper, then you have enough to make a custom envelope, which is one my most fave things to do right now.

All in all, from design to photographing, 11 minutes – not too shabby!  Grab your punches and see what you think.  Is this a thank you card that you think anyone can make?
