Cute Handmade Card Using Cheerful Basket
I absolutely LOVE the Cheerful Basket bundle that is in the new annual catalog with Stampin' Up! It's just the best set – and I have already used it and used it. It's different from other builder stamp sets we have had in the past.
I love the images, the size, the scale, the everything with this bundle, let me show it to you…
I love the crisp looking apples, the hearts, the basket – I love that you can stamp and die cut out the basket or you can build it with different layers of card stock using the dies. The craft supplies are fun to use when sending a card to a fellow card maker. And while I haven't used the sweet kitty cat, I know I will soon.
Let me share the card with you and then we will talk about the other parts of it.
There are three things I love the most on this card. #1 that die cut background!!! If you haven't checked out the Split Card Texture dies, you are missing out! These are great as they partially cut out your layer, but not the split edge. It adds such a background to any card base. AND I can't wait to use it for every holiday – it will work with everything.
#2 – the apples in the basket. I love using Stampin Blends, they just make any coloring look great in no time at all. We just started an entire series dedicated to blends in Stamping Family. I'm excited to see how members use the videos to learn all kinds of simple shading and blending techniques!
#3 – That sentiment. It comes from the Charming Sentiments bundle and it's just so versatile and fun. It's another new one that I feel like I have already gotten my money's worth out of. Each sentiment in the stamp set has its own matching die cut. Which I just love! You can see this bundle used again here.
Time and Supplies
You might think that this card took me a lot of time to make. But it really didn't. I used the Stampin Blends to color – which means it went super quickly. And then to help get that background layer perfectly adhered down, I used Adhesive Sheets. I can't imagine paper crafting without adhesive sheets!
This card took me less than 15 minutes to complete. I stamped my images and the sentiment, then did all my die cutting, then colored and I was done. It just looks like it took a long time to complete!

I hope you love this new Cheerful Basket bundle as much as I do! It's a great year-round stamp set that you can use over and over again.
All that's left is to order your supplies, I just know you will love all these goodies! XOXO, Meg
