Cards to Cheer Someone Up

Today we are talking about cards to cheer someone up.  Let's face it, a bunch of our friends and family need some cheering up.  This past week I mailed a similar card to her friend that's having a less than stellar summer, and the impact it had on her was so positive.  Just letting her know that struggles or not, she is loved and appreciated.

I made this card for a friend that is about to become a homeschool teacher – kinda by choice, but more by circumstance.  She is struggling with this.  Rather than make her a card that is all about being a teacher, just a card with a hint of that along with a sentiment that speaks to how she truly makes me smile, again it will be a uplifter.

You can make a stack of these in no time at all.  Before we get into the making, let's cover the supplies.

The Making

To make this card, start by dry embossing your Whisper White card stock with the Subtle embossing folder.  Next, use the Triple Banner Punch on a delightful piece of Real Red patterned paper.  This 2″ strip fits perfectly into the punch.  Add this to your dry embossed piece and then onto your Real Red card base.

Next it's time to stamp and color.  I went with Just Jade Blends for the leaf and Real Red Blends for the apple.  This stamp set has a coordinating punch and that instantly makes it a favorite of mine!

Die cut a scalloped rectangle and stamp your sentiment on it.  Add your apples and you are done!

Just like that, you can make cards to cheer someone up!
