Candy Apple Halloween Card

Let's make a candy apple Halloween card!!!  I fell in love with the Sweets & Treats stamp set, for a variety of reasons.  I was so excited to use it this week to make a Halloween card.

When we think of Halloween, there are really about three categories:  Food, Decor, and Costumes.  This one kinda fits into two categories, the food and decor – as when you stage food under a cloche, it can certainly add to the room's decorations.

I don't have any stamps that are candy apples, so this was a fun edition to my craft stash.  Let me share the stamp set with you:

Adorbs, right?  So what I love about this set is that it's in the Holiday catalog, but put your finger over the one sentiment that says Christmas, and another over the Christmas pudding/lime jello and you have a great year round set.  It does coordinate with the Cloche dies, and those dies coordinate with and are bundled with the Classic Cloche set in the holiday catalog – but since I wasn't a fan of the other stamp set and really only needed two one of the dies, it made most sense to me to forgo the dies and just cut out the cloche.

I pulled in an embossing folder that I hadn't used before.  When I first saw a sample using it in the catalog, I thought it was two different folders, but it's a cool duo – to my mind, we haven't had that before.  It's a mix of plaid and stars, and it's fun to use, and perfect for this candy apple Halloween card.

Okay, so now that we have all of that covered, let me share this awesome card with you:

Isn't that card yummy enough to eat? I pulled in another stamp set for the sentiment, stamped it in three different colors and then cut out each word.  In the stamp set, the image has one candy apple, I did some masking to arrange the three candy apples as they are.

With some simple coloring and a scrap of patterned paper, this delightful card is complete, done, adorable, and yummy!
