Make some uplifting cards using one of my easy card making ideas!

Looking for easy card making ideas? Need to send an uplifting card?  We could all use one right about now, right?  So start the love share by making and sending this card that checks BOTH boxes!

I love this one because of the giant sentiment along with all the little details that take this from being an okay card to a great card. You can swap out the colors, the greetings, the texture – all of it – and still have one of the best easy card making ideas to grab when you need a card right away or an instant crafting fix.

We are starting with a favorite stamp set of mine called Ridiculously Awesome.  It's full of big sentiments and fun fonts – see what I mean?

The Making

  • Start by dry embossing your Smoky Slate card stock piece and adding it to your card stock base.
  • Die cut a scalloped oval in Misty Moonlight.
  • Stamp your sentiment in Misty Moonlight and then die cut with an oval die.  (The scallop ovals and the regular ovals come in the same die set, so they work beautifully together!!)
  • Adhere a ribbon swag behind your sentiment and add it these layers to your card using Dimensionals.
  • Finish by tying a bow using the Baker's Twine and your 10 Second Bow Maker.

Your Turn

It's a lot of fun to make cards.  It's a lot of fun to send cards.  So it must be double the fun to make and send a card.  Take a few minutes and write down some names of people that could use a card today, they could use a hug through the mail, some sunshine in their day.  Don't hold back!  Send a lot of sunshine through the mail this week!
