Hinge Stamping with the Stamparatus

Looking for a simple technique?  Try Hinge Stamping with the Stamparatus!  You can use this technique with images or with sentiments OR go wild an crazy and do both.

Let me show you what this Hinge Stamping with the Stamparatus is all about.

You stamp by positioning your stamp on your either your top or side plate of your Stamparatus.  Ink it up, and stamp.

Next, lift the plate out of the hinges of your Stamparatus, and slide it over as many spaces as you want. I went one space over, I also changed my ink:

Then simply repeat:

And you can repeat it as much as you want:

Best Tips

  • Remember is to clean the stamp before you change ink colors.
  • Images & sentiments need to be 1″ or smaller if you want to stamp at each hinge interval.
  • Ink spots are my favorite ink pads for inking up the stamps on your Stamparatus.
  • The Simply Shammy is the best way to clean your stamps on your Stamparatus.

Making the Card

We now have our sentiments going down the right side of the card, so now what?

I wanted to keep it simple and really have the words as the focal point.  Since I went with fall colors for my sentiments, I chose to stick with that theme and die cut leaves from the Stitched Seasons Limited Edition framelits.  These framelits are part of the Blended Seasons Bundle from Stampin Up.  Click here to learn more about it and see what all comes in the bundle.

To bump it up a bit more, I went with dotted white ribbon.  It doesn't detract from the sentiments, but still adds texture to your card.

Speaking of texture, why stop there?  The card base is Whisper White, and I dry embossed it with the Subtle embossing folder.  This folder takes any card stock and makes it textured card stock – which is awesome!

Then all that is left is tying a bow using the 10 Second Bow Maker using the same ribbon and assemble your card.
