Paper Crafts Idea Using Wondrous Wreath From Stampin' Up!

Christmas is in 121 days…. so if you are looking for a paper crafts project for Christmas, why not make your own Christmas Cards?  This idea is from a new stamp set and framelit set that are going to be available starting on August 28th.  It is the Wondrous Wreath stamp set, and it is fabulous.

When you first get the stamp set, you will see extra tabs sticking off some of the stamps.  I thought at first I might have gotten a bad stamp or two.  Then I noticed that the framelits have an extra doohickey sticking off of them too.  AFTER finishing my cup of coffee, it hit me that these extras tabby thingies just might serve a purpose.  And they do!  (The complete supply list is at the bottom of this post.  The stamp set and framelit will be added to the listing on Wednesday when they are available for purchase.)  UPDATED with items!

Today is the first day that I have played with them – and they are a lot of fun.  The doohickey thingies do indeed serve a purpose in helping you line everything up.

There are some things that I think will sell out rapidly and sit on back order for a few weeks from this catalog.  I am usually pretty dead on with these predictions.  And I think that this bundle is one of them.

You don't have to get the framelits if you don't have a Big Shot – but if you don't have a Big Shot, remember that they are on special right now.  You can learn more about that by clicking here.

This card uses a mix of colors I don't think I have ever used before.  I went with Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler and Crushed Curry.  I think it's a fun color combination and one that I will need to remember for in the future!

Texture plays a big part of this card.  Recently on my Facebook page, I shared a picture of a light blue card that has a ton of texture on it.  And everyone loved it.  That gave me the springboard for the texture on this card.  You have the texture of the leaves in the wreath, and then the polka dots, and then the honeycomb behind that.

The finishing touch for this card is the double loop bow.  It is easy to make if you have the 10 Second Bow Maker.  When you order the bow maker, you get access to several training videos that walk you through exactly how to make this bow and more!  It will be a real gem to have if you plan on making your own cards for Christmas this year.

Over the next few weeks, I will probably design about 15 different Christmas cards to give me a nice variety of cards for this year.  And this is number 1!

Here are the supplies I used to create this card.  To order any of the following items, simply click on them and add them to your cart!

Thank you so much for joining me today for this paper crafts idea using the new Wondrous Wreath stamp set and framelits from Stampin' Up!
