Washi Flowers You Can Make in No Time!

We are working with the Pressed Petals Washi Tape to make the easiest washi flowers you have every seen!  This is a product that is new to the Stampin' Up! Annual catalog and I have had a lot of questions on how to use it.  Today I am going to blow your minds and show you how incredibly easy it is to make a gorgeous washi flower in no time at all!

Let me show you the product.  You get two different rolls of washi tape in this set.  We are just using the petals right now.

Each petal is individual. You simply remove each petal one at a time from the roll. I like to set them on the roll as you can see below to allow them time to naturally curl on their own, which is another feature of this fun washi tape!

Keep in mind that you will be able to see through the middle of the washi tape petal.  I like this as you can see how you are placing the petals and get a really natural look to your flower.  I went with a 3/4″ Whisper White circle.  Start by adding one petal to your circle as I have below.

Add five petals in a star pattern.  Only press down in the middle, keep the petals curled.

Now the backside of your flowers will still be sticky and we need to get rid of that so the washi flower won't get completely stuck to your project and lose all its beautiful dimension.  My favorite way is to pounce on the back of the flower using your Embossing Buddy.  The powder from the embossing buddy will stick to the washi flower and remove the stickiness from the parts of the tape you DON'T want stuck down.  Before you go to place your flower on your project be sure to wipe off any powder from the back of your card stock circle because that too will not hold adhesive if it's covered with powder.
