Pretty Valentine Day Cards Handmade by You
Looking for an idea for pretty handmade Valentine Day cards handmade by you? This project idea just might be perfect for you.
This year, I was totally uninspired by the traditional Valentine stamp sets from Stampin' Up!, but that doesn't mean I wasn't inspired by other things.
One of my favorite items in the Occasions catalog is the Be Mine Stitched Framelits. It's such a must have item, as you can use it for so many occasions, not just for Valentine's day.
Let me show you this framelit set:
I pulled in several supplies that I already had and mixed them with this framelit set. Let's go over the supplies:
The Supplies
This card doesn't take a lot of supplies and what's even better is that all the supplies I am using are extremely versatile for all year use. To order any of these supplies, simply click on an image below. Don't forget that Sale-a-Bration is still in full swing! Use your order today to earn free stuff 🙂
The Hearts
You will want to die cut a variety of hearts using Real Red, Whisper White and Crumb Cake card stock. Considering altering your solid red heart with some faux stitching with your Chalk Marker.
Once you have your hearts die cut, then you will want to lay them out on your Whisper White panel (4″ x 5-1/4″) to get your spacing for your polka dots and your sentiment.
The Stamping
Start by stamping your red polka dots across your Whisper White about 2″ up from the bottom. Then you will stamp your sentiment just above your polka dots and all the way to the right side of your white piece.
The Assembly
Yep! That's right, it's already time to assemble your card. And remember, it's just as easy to make multiple of these cards instead of just one. These are such simple, yet pretty handmade Valentine Day cards handmade cards you can make.
Attach all of your hearts, then attach the entire white layer onto your Crumb Cake card base (4-1/4″ x 11″).
You might want to add a bow to your smallest heart. This can be done in 10 seconds with the 10 Second Bow Maker.
The Final Project
Here is our card for today. See how pretty this one is? And see how adorable the envelope flap is?
Now It's Your Turn
You still have several weeks to order your supplies, get your order in, record your favorite show on your DVR, and get to making. Leave me a comment if this is a card you can see yourself making.
