Valentine Crafts for Guys
Ready for some Valentine Crafts for Guys? I think the Bubble Over Bundle from Stampin' Up! is perfect for this! When I was picking out stamp sets to feature from the Occasions catalog, I picked this bundle to make masculine cards.
But it doesn't just have to be used for cards!
We are going to make a little treat holder from the larger of the two soda bottles, but you could do this with either size. There is so many little features to this project that I want to break them down for you.
The Color Palette
For us, we are a Coca Cola family, especially my hubby. So it makes sense to make this with Real Red, Basic Black and Whisper White. Also added in are touches of silver.
The Stamping
You will want to stamp and die cut two of the soda bottles. (You can't tell that I stamped both the front and back bottle, but it takes seconds, so why not?) Also stamped in Real Red is the little heart onto a 1/2″ circle of Whisper White.
Then comes my FAVORITE part of this project – the love tag…
The word “love” is from the Petal Palette stamp set. The entire phrase says “I just love you”. But I just wanted love. I used my Real Red marker on my stamp, just inking up the one word and stamping it onto a scrap of Whisper White. Then it was time to punch it out and make our little tag. Add a silver bow for more metallic on your project.
Believe it or not, that is from the Fox Builder Punch – it's the fox tail!!!
The Die Cutting
You will want to die cut your little hexagon shapes in Whisper White. And then your bottle caps in Silver Foil.
The Box
It starts as a 1″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White. You will want to score your long sides at 1/4″ on each side, leaving you a 1/2″ strip in the middle. Then score in 1-3/4″ from each end.
Here is a quick little template to help.

Such a cute idea, I love this! And it looks pretty easy, too!
Cute idea. Another use I can see is Father’s Day with a reference to Pop. I’m going to give this a try.
Do you cut the center score lines?
Cut in just up to the score line 🙂
Great cards
Thank you!
