Want a card making idea using Stitched Shapes Framelits?

I rarely pay for faster shipping, but with these goodies, I had to have them!  I was watching the front door like a hawk waiting for the UPS man to arrive.

I was worse than a 7 year old on Christmas Eve.  It was so bad that I even cleaned my stamp room – we are talking an intense clean too!

Then they arrived and the fun started.

I had a bazillion ideas, but couldn't wait to create the card I am going to share with you today.

This idea doesn't use a lot of supplies and it uses one of my favorite design teachings in Stamping Family – curves love straight edges, and straight edges love curves.

We start with the small square and die cut four of these.  Then it was time to layer it onto some Smoky Slate card stock.  Next comes the curve.  I went with one of the stitched circles from the same framelit set.

Once that was done, it was time to pick my sentiment.  I love the Tin of Tags stamp set – you can use it on tags, but I use it more on my cards – but I am also not ready to really tackle tags, that comes later in the holiday season.

After choosing my With Love sentiment, I stamped it and die cut it out with the Circle Collection Framelits.  The size I chose fits perfectly when using Stitched Shapes Framelits.

With the sentiment, the Happy Heart embossing folder was a total win.  Like a peanut butter and chocolate kinda win 🙂

Once I had all this ready, I felt like there was something missing on my Smoky Slate square – but I didn't want more of the stitched framelits, but I didn't want to really depart from the stitched look.  My chalk marker – a staple supply that is always on my counter top – was perfect for adding a soft stitched look.

Layering it all onto a Smoky Slate card base was almost the finishing touch.  I love that dang narrow stitched ribbon and my favorite color of it is the Smoky Slate color.  A little bow tied with it and added to the front (and if you struggle with tying bows, be sure to grab a 10 Second Bow Maker!)
