Using Stampin' Up!'s Sunshine Wishes Thinlits to Make a Wedding Card

Need to make a wedding card?  Here is a simple and fun card you can make using Stampin' Up!'s Sunshine Wishes Thinlits.

We start with our color palette – you choose whichever colors you want to use.  For my card, I went with Flirty Flamingo and Smoky Slate.  These are the colors of the wedding of the person I am sending it to, the recent addition of Flirty Flamingo made me so very happy for that reason.

These colors also remind me of the bike I dreamed about back in the 80's.  It was a 10 speed with the curved handlebars and the perfect mix of gray and pink.  Anytime I stamp with these colors, I dream about that bike.  Me and that bike could have gone on many amazing rides.  Instead I had a black and red one, who would have known that later in life I would go to Texas Tech and have those as my school colors.

It is just a color combo that triggers memories and childhood wishes.  And those to me are fun!

Now back to the card…

I kept this card simple because she was not having a formal and frilly wedding.  It was a simple affair and therefore I went with a simple card.

The interlocking heart dies are the focal point and they are stunning!  I love the cut outs in them rather than having just hearts.  When you see these, you want to touch them – texture is a good thing on your cards.

Using the sentiment from Better Together really made it all come together.  The style of the font matched the heart die cuts.

After adding the hearts and the sentiment, I decide to do some paper piercing around the edge just for some additional interest and texture, but not at all necessary of that is not your thing 🙂

Keeping with adding texture, a cute little bow was tied in Stitched Smoky Slate narrow ribbon.  It adds balance to the card in a soft way.

And then we are done!
