Using Seasonal Snapshot 2015 to Make a Handmade Halloween Card

Welcome to today's project where we are using Seasonal Snapshot 2015 to make a handmade Halloween card!

This card had it's trial and errors with it – and quickly became a comedy of errors!!!

Yesterday I posted on Facebook that I was cleaning out my stamp room.  Which meant that today, while the room is clean, I can't find a dang thing.  Can you relate to that at all?

I knew I wanted to use the new Spider Web Doilies in the upcoming Holiday Catalog from Stampin' Up!  But where were they?  After 30 minutes, I found them.  They were in with my punch boards – which made no sense at all.  They are now with my other doilies.

One of my favorite new stamps sets in this upcoming catalog.  It is one of the most versatile sets.  It is the Project Life Seasonal Snapshot 2015 set.  I feel a lot of stampers will overlook this set since it is a Project Life stamp set.  But it is crazy versatile!  So be sure to check it out on page 38 when you get your catalog.  (If you need a catalog and do not have a demonstrator already, please email me, meg@iteachstamping.com for a copy.)

The sentiment was stamped in Rich Razzleberry first, but then when I went to put it on the Rich Razzleberry die cut, it was too much purple.  So that ink color was changed to Tangelo Twist.  Much better!

Then that cute little spider was stamped from the upcoming Howl-o-ween Treat set and die cut with the coordinating framelits.  And I gotta tell ya, I was downright giddy when I was die cutting that lil' guy.  If I had to fussy cut him out, I probably wouldn't have used him, and he is perfect for this card.  Having that little die was a game changer today.

Then it came down to the patterned paper.  I can't tell you how many different patterns I used.  Eventually I settled on the Everyday Chic paper that I love dearly.  It is perfect!  With it being a white pattern on black paper, it really set off the other layers.

A layer of the same Tangelo Twist was added behind the patterned paper strip to add some more color.

I love all the layers and the dimension of the layers:

To finish out the card, on the inside I added a strip of the same Everyday Chic paper on the same Tangelo Twist card stock.  And then I die cut the crazy cute Boo from the Boo To You framelits in some more of the Rich Razzleberry.

And after about three cups of coffee, my hair sticking out everywhere from me pulling my hair out looking for supplies, this card is finally done – and is wicked cute!
