Today we are using up scraps!
I love the pretty host paper that is in the Jan-Apr catalog. It's bright, it's fun – and the color combinations are similar to my favorites, but with a twist.
For example, I am not a huge Shaded Spruce fan, but I love the bright greens and pinks in the paper, and the Shaded Spruce works with it. So it's stretching me out of my comfort zone some, buy adding in new colors. That, to me, is a lot of fun!
But I have all these scrap pieces left over. Some are 2″, some are 3/4″, but I want to use them up and use them up right away. For me, if I don't use up leftovers from a patterned paper NOW, then they either sit forever and never get used, or they get damaged and never get used.
As I said above, this paper is a host/stampin rewards item. Which means you can't straight up purchase it, you can use your host/rewards dollars to “buy it”.
There are 48 sheets of this paper, and I have already used 3/4 of it! It's just bright and cheerful, it screams USE ME!!
So we are starting with the 2″ scraps today and cut them into 1″ strips.
In seconds you can make this card!
All you have to do is stamp your sentiment, add a die cut and you are done.
Seriously, you can't get much easier than this!
TIP: If you like these colors, and you like free stuff, and you have an order to place, now is the best time to do this. During Sale-a-Bration, not only can you earn free SAB items, but you can also get host rewards on orders over $150. So it's kinda like double dipping! You get free on top of free.
This is the time of year that I buy envelopes, adhesives, white card stock. The things I know I will need all year. The order may not sound exciting, but the exciting comes in with earning SAB items and getting to pick out host rewards.
So vanilla ice cream with caramel and a cherry on top!
The Supplies
The supply list on this one is short. Just paper, ink pad, stamp, and dies.
I no longer have product links for this company.

I have another post coming soon with what to do with those left over 3/4″ scraps. (You can use any size really, but I have a bunch of those!) See you in the next project! XOXO, Meg
