Can you just imagine the look on my face when at club one night, Jennifer asked if we could do the Stitched With Cheer kit as a class one day?
In my gut, I just knew she was referring to the ugly kit. (Not what you would think a demonstrator would say, right?) So what do you say? What do you do?
Then she says something like this… I know it doesn't look good at all in the catalog (sigh of relief), but I think it could be really pretty. She had watched the video Stampin' Up! provided on it and thought it had potential.
The rest of us still weren't buying it. So what do we do? Before I give you the answer, bust out your holiday catalog and look on page 34. Boring, right? I mean, did you even see it or realize it was there before you looked just now?
So what did we do? We busted out the iPad and watched the video 🙂
Upon watching the video, it rapidly becomes apparent that this kit really is the ugly duckling of the holiday catalog!
We picked a day, the kits were ordered and this past Saturday was the class where everyone made their cards.
Everyone had a great time making them and we had a lot of laughs about how now the kits are 40% off during the Online Extravaganza/Black Friday sale – we thought it was pretty obvious that they are on sale because they just look so blah in the catalog.
Here is my amazing group of local stampers making their cards:
This kit coordinates with the Stamped With Cheer stamp set. If you were to buy two kits, and there are 18 cards in each kit!! – the savings with it being on sale pays for the stamp set. The kit is 40% off, so almost $10 off ($9.60 for those that want the exact number) and the stamp set is also on sale for $18.90. Winner, winner, right?
The kit includes all the envelopes and envelope liners. So 18 cards with envelopes/liners, each card comes out to only $.80!!! WOWSERS!
Here are the finished cards, and each kit has the supplies for you to make 6 of each of the three cards:
The snowflake one has two tag options, we did them as circles:
The tree one is three dimensional, the trees poof out…
The star is my favorite. Vannessa put her tag on an angle and I copied her:
See what I mean? This ugly duckling of a kit makes stunning cards! If you are convinced, please remember that these kits are retiring and are only while supplies last! So don't put off ordering them until after turkey, because we all know what happens after we eat turkey 🙂
Here are the order links for the kit and the stamp set. I certainly appreciate when you order through me 🙂 (And if you like free stuff with your order, be sure to check out this!)
Here are the items you will need to complete the kit if you don't have them. The supply list shows Tear & Tape, but you can use any adhesive you have:
At the time that I am writing and publishing this post, the kit and the stamp set are available, but I cannot guarantee how long they will be around. I am so happy, as are Linda, Paula, Vannessa, Tiffany, & Mary, that Jennifer noticed this kit and brought it up! If you overlooked it as we all did, now is your chance to grab them on sale!
I am glad to see you ordering and making these cards. They really are pretty. I just ordered them today.
