Super Simple Happy Birthday Balloon Card
I love making birthday cards and I love making super simple birthday cards so how about a super simple happy birthday BALLOON card? Because what says “Happy Birthday” more than balloons? Check it out:
When I say this card is super simple, I mean it! All I did was stamp the balloon from the incredibly versatile Celebrate Today stamp set three times using Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Pacific Point, Stampin' Up!'s glorious take on primary colors, onto Whisper White Cardstock. I cut them out with the Balloons Framelits; the stamp set and Framelits are available as money saving bundle on page 102! I chose a Crumb Cake panel, embossed using the Lucky Stars embossing folder to add a little more celebratory WOW to the card. I used Daffodil Delight as my card base and placed the Daffodil Delight balloon front and center for balance. I chose the Happy Birthday greeting from one of nine assorted birthday phrases in the Remembering Your Birthday set and stamped it in Pacific Point onto Whisper White.
Now, I know a lot of people missed the old ribbon slot punch and I am here to tell you – and show you – that you shall miss it no more! The new Curvy Corner Trio Punch in the Home for the Holidays Catalog is a most excellent replacement as not only does it create the fabulous ribbon slides as shown here, it adds two adorable decorative corners all in one handy punch! I threaded some of the gorgeous Daffodil Delight 1/4″ Cotton Ribbon through the banner and made a cute double bow using my Ten Second Bow Maker. The balloons were added using Stampin' Dimensionals for some “floaty” dimension and three little lengths of Whisper White Bakers Twine completes the look.
