A little over 12 years ago, I met Yvonne.  I met her through her granddaughter, Ashlie, who was pregnant at the same time I was.  Ashlie wanted to learn how to stamp and so she had a party and Yvonne came with her.

The last 12 years have flown by – with Yvonne as one of my best friends.  Despite our age differences, we were trouble just waiting to happen.  She is a light, she is a joy, she is one of the best friends you could ever have.

This past weekend, Yvonne was put on hospice.  I went to say goodbye to her on Monday, and honestly thought that would be our last conversation.

But then I got to have an hour long visit with her on Tuesday and again on Wednesday – I am about to leave to go see her again today.  What a gift it is to have more time with her.

Several of you have asked where the promised projects for the blog this week are, and they are sitting on my computer.

I will be adding them soon, as it is very therapeutic for me to stamp and write about it, just know that I have spent a lot of this week with my sweet friend who has stamped her last card.

Who would have thought that ink and stamps would introduce me to so many wonderful people?  That is mind blowing to me – but it happens all the time.  I love learning about each of you – with your comments, your emails, your cards that you mail to me – I want to thank you for all of those actions from deep in my heart.

She asked me yesterday what I was going to do with the rest of my life.  I told her I had no idea.  She told me to live.  I asked her to be more specific – she wasn't 🙂

She has noticed that I haven't blogged this week, and she knows why – and get this, SHE feels guilty.  She knows that things in my world have stopped for her and she feels guilty.  I begged her to not feel guilty and to just feel love.  I love Yvonne.  She has been on this stamping journey with me for over 12 years.  She has been my biggest fan, she has called me on my crap, she has loved me, my daughter and my husband, she is such a part of our family.

So for her, there will be projects coming – this is just a quick update so you know what's going on.

I love you all!!!
