I met a stamper this week who said that she gets frustrated with finding the perfect background paper, and I told her that I often stamp my own background paper and this was met with a blank stare, followed by, "Huh?"
There is nothing like seeing it for yourself, so that is why I made the card I did today. I did this one as a hybrid, with printed background paper in the background and stamped paper with the numbers.
And on my Facebook Page today (later today) I will share with you a different way to do it with the same stamp set.
I started with Polka Dots (because I LOVE them) to pick my first color for the card, Real Red (yummy!) and then grabbed other bright colors, I pulled in Daffodil Delight, Tempting Turquoise, and then the Fabulous Gumball Green and viola! there was my color palette.
Supplies Used to Create this Card:
Stampin' Up! Stamps: Memorable Moments
Stampin' Up! Ink: Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, Gumball Green
Stampin' Up! Cardstock: Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, Gumball Green
Stampin' Up! Accessories: Daffodil Delight Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, 3/4" Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch, Big Shot, Tasteful Trim Die
Can you see the numbers working as your background paper? Be sure to leave me a comments letting me know what you think – and be sure to check my FB page (later) for another version of it. Try it out, stamp your own background paper today!

What a pretty birthday card Meg. Love the fun colors and numbers. The polka dot paper is awesome. Thank you for playing along with us at The Sweet Stop this week.
