From Stampin' Up!'s Occasions mini catalog, comes the stamp set Take It To Heart. Here are my top three reasons to love this set:
- It has coordinating framelits (the Hearts Collection).
- You can use a variety of color combinations with it.
- There are plenty of places to add bling/glitter!
Today's card really hits me differently today than it did yesterday when I made it. I thought I was just using a sketch to create a Valentine's Day Card. Then this morning at Bible study, someone had made cards up for us to send to the widows and widowers in our church. We each grabbed a name and a card and wrote away. I was so touched by this that hours later, I am still thinking about it. It is such a simple idea, make cards and send to those that may not receive a Valentine's card. After I got home, I started making a quick lunch, and let's see if you get what I mean by this… I was standing in front of the sink, rinsing out my coffee mug, and while I was there, I really wasn't there, as demonstrated by the large amount of water that is still all over the kitchen countertop right now. And I thought of the card that I was going to post today. For some reason, yesterday as I was creating it, I kept thinking to myself, "Keep it simple, you don't know how many of these you may need to make." And then I told myself, "That is crazy, by the time I make Valentines for Emily's classmates and bake the cupcakes for the class party (my attempt at being super mom), I won't want to see anymore Valentine's until 2013." Then today happened and everything is different.
So here is a challenge I am giving to you:
- Make three Valentine's cards.
- Send this card out to three people that may not receive any Valentine's cards and let them know that you are thinking of them.
