Stampin' Up!'s Pennant Parade helped me get the day started! It feels like a Monday morning, hard to get started, hard to get going, not enough coffee in the world kind of morning. And after a lazy family day together yesterday, I think it was doubly hard! I was only about half ready to get my craft on this morning, so I chose an upbeat stamp set and bright colors. And it worked, the more I created, the more awake I felt, I even caught myself humming (which never happens on a Monday morning!).
Pennant Parade is such a fun stamp set, it is so versatile! I use it for card making and for scrapbooking, Christmas and birthdays, how much more versatile can you get?
The Pool Party, Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade were the easy part, the background was the hard part. I have a ton of Island Indigo and used a ton of it for Christmas cards (it is yummy with silver cardstock!) but it is just not a color that I am normally drawn towards using. I grabbed a piece of it to half hearted try behind the other layers and no one could be more surprised than I was to see how perfect it was. Once I had my colors, I was off and running!
Here is the card I created using Stampin' Up!'s Pennant Parade Stamp Set:

Such a nice clean design! Love that you also stamped the inside of the card…this is always a great option when you want to use a darker card base.
