I had to use Stampin' Up!'s Mixed Bunch Stamp Set today – and I made a video tutorial for what I created that will be posted later today. But let me tell you why I HAD to use it. Yesterday, I received an email asking me if I had to choose one stamp set and coordinating punch right now, which would it be? I knew the answer instantly! It would be Stampin' Up!'s Mixed Bunch Set with the Blossom Punch. Why? First, it is AWE-some! Second, it is in the mini catalog and there is no guarantee that it will be around after April, and it is a must-have. Third, you can do so much with them! You can use them together or separately!
Back in January, I attended Stampin' Up!'s Leadership and we made this card as a make-n-take. It is cute, but not really me. I really wanted to *fix* it. And it has sat on my counter for 6 weeks looking all sad. Then after getting the email last night, I knew that today was the day for the "upgrade" or "make-over".
So here is what I created this morning with it:
Much better, huh?
Earlier this morning, I mentioned lunch with my sweetie and it is that time! Off to eat and run an errand or two and as soon as I get back I will post the supply list and the video tutorial for this card featuring Stampin' Up!'s Mixed Bunch!
I DO like your version better. The original was rather flat and the rick-rack accent just kind of sat there because there was no other color to tie it in to the rest of the card. The polka dot embossing on yours gives it pop and changing the button color to coordinate with the rick rack layer ties it together. That’s just my eye. Art is subjective.
