Today's card features a Sale-a-Bration stamp set from Stampin' Up!'s, Madison Avenue, paired with a Spring catalog set, Feel Goods. As I walked into my stamp room this morning, I had the Feel Goods stamp set on my mind. I love the sentiments in this stamp set – they a fabulous – and fabulous is not a word that I normally use on a Monday morning.
My hubby was wonderful and made my coffee for me before he left for work – I love this man! So kiddo is off to school, fresh coffee in the mug – let's hit the stamp room. As I started creating, there was something on every layer – like a speck of something. It was weird, no matter what piece of card stock I picked up, there it was. As the frustration grew, and the coffee got knocked over – it was almost time to pack it in for the morning and get back in bed – did anyone else feel like that?
So my bespectacled friends will get this – I took my glasses off and set them on the Whisper White card stock that was laying on the table – and saw the speck. It was on my glasses! And what was it? Summer Starfruit re-inker!!! Signs of a die hard stamper, right? It made me laugh so hard, and I thought to myself that this was definitely a Monday!
Back to stamping then, I instantly knew that I wanted to use Summer Starfruit – I mean, it was a must at that point, and I LOVE polka dots – Patio Party DSP it was and then the card grew from there.
Why did I tell this story today? I often get asked where I get my inspiration – and I wish that I had this fantastic, scientific, flowchart, step-by-step process to share with you, but in my wierd little world, this is exactly how it happens.
I love the way that this card came together in the end, bright & cheerful, and just perfect for what I need.

WOW what a great card Megan. Like it muncho!!! Was getting a little worried about you because I had noticed that you had not been online in a few days Hope all is well in your household. The card is fantastic girlie, have a Dr. Pepper and I’ll do the same, lol. Love the inside too. I truly like that you always dress up the inside of your cards and don’t leave them blank. It just finishes them off so much and gives them that extra touch of professionalism. (WOW that’s a big word) lol
This is very nice. I like the sentiment and color choices.
