Welcome to another true confession:  Stampin' Up!'s Blue Ribbon stamp set was not one that I ever would have purchased.  This one came to me free and collected dust for a while.  I am not sure what it was exactly that I did not care for in the set, it just didn't seem to be calling to me – but about a month ago, I pulled it out and stared at it for a while – and it stared back.  And then I started thinking about it and tried to figure out what I could do with it.

The first thing I noticed about the big ribbon stamp itself was it's streamers/pennants hanging off of it.  And that is where I first played.  I grabbed my Bitty Banners Framelits for that and the big one fits just right inside of the stamped image.  (My VIP members learned this month how to really dress up that area of the stamp with lots of layers!)  Then the round part itself is what I payed attention to next.  The 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch works almost perfectly.  But it gives a cool white border that I like around the scallops.  Then you can go punch crazy with your circle punches in the middle – you can do some crazy layering.

Blue Ribbon, Stampin' Up!So am I a convert on this stamp set now?  Yes, I am.  It went from blah to yippee in a couple of day's time.  I also like that it was versatile enough for me to use it for my Advanced Card Class for my VIP members and also to make a more simple card for my blog.

What are your thoughts on the Blue Ribbon stamp set from Stampin' Up!?
