Stampin' Up! In Colors 2020-2022
As I mentioned here I am just LOVING the Stampin' Up! In Colors 2020-2022. If you are new to the whole In Color thing, each year Stampin' Up! offers five new, on-trend colors that are specifically designed to work together to add a fresh take on our papercrafting opportunities. This year, the In Colors not only look amazing together, they go with SO MANY of our core colors! I love how the Stampin' Up! In Colors 2020-2022 bring so many new color combinations to our stamping!
Take this card for instance:
Isn't that just so fun? To me it “feels” more colorful than the effort it took to make it and I really think it's thanks to those colors! I used only ONE bundle, ONE embossing folder, the ONE color collection and ONE In Color paper assortment! If you look closely at this photo you can see what might be one of my favorite embossing folders of all time – the Dainty Diamonds. (Ok, well, in all fairness, I haven't yet met an embossing folder I didn't love.) Using angles in a repeat, like with the pattern on this folder, with rounded shapes, like the balloons and the circles on the paper, add a lot of “movement” to a project and this keep the eyes moving giving it a ton of visual interest. And poppin up the balloons and the “birthday” keep that sense of depth. Easy peasy once you know!
I truly do just love how these colors work together. At first I was worried that the Bumblebee was too muted but against the bring Magenta Madness and Just Jade with the mellow Misty Moonlight – well, it all just works so well! And this card also used a lot of scraps, like the card stock for the die cuts and the strips of patterned paper. I LOVE using up leftovers from other projects – makes me feel like a card making genius! LOL!
Here is the very short list of supplies I used to make this card. Remember that you can change out ALL the components to make a batch of cards that will all look just a little different!
