I am super excited to share this card idea with a FEMININE twist!

It's always fun as we get closer to catalogs retiring to play with items that are pretty much all retiring.  It pushes me to put on my creative hat and come up with twists on designs. Like this Stampin' Up Hats off card idea that totally points out that these classic caps aren't just for guys!

This card uses these items that are retiring, and actually the stamps are already retired, but the dies are still available!  When I created this card, the stamps and dies were available.  Things on that retiring list can sell out FAST!  So don't wait if there are things on the list you want.

With the dies you can use it with any color card stock, any patterned paper, any embellishments – it's perfect for boys, girls, men, and women.  It's perfect for holidays, for birthdays, for St. Patrick's day, any occasion really.

OR you can do as I did and left it without a sentiment. I can now use that card for any thing – making it what I call a great Stash Card.

The Project

The Making

I paired three embossing folders with the Hat's Off bundle, the Tasteful Textile folder and the Checks & Dots 2 pack of folders.  I can't believe that these are retiring, but I am so happy that I have them and I can use them for a long time to come.

By using the Tasteful Textile on the background, the Dots on the Flirty Flamingo (pink) card stock, and the Checks on the Basic Black card stock, a ton of texture is added onto this card!

Since the stamps are sold out, use the die to cut the parts and pieces from your card stock and paper and just paper piece them together. The card will be just as cute! Add a fun die cut heart and you are ready to assemble.

The retiring items from the catalog are available while supplies last.  You can see the entire list here.  Be sure to get all these goodies while you still can!  Keep in mind that the host paper, Pattern Party, is only available with an order over $150.  But you can also call friends and see if they need anything and combine your order – you don't have to do it all!

But when these items are gone, they are gone.  So get them while you can!!
