Are you familiar with Stampin' Up!'s Softly Falling embossing folder? This folder was designed to mimic the look of softly falling snow. But the other day I was looking at it and thought that the little drifting dots could be any number of other things and – VOILA – this card was born:
Isn't that so pretty? The “falling snow” looks, to me, like champagne bubbles rising up to toast the birthday recipient! And talk about an instant card! Holy cow! One card base, one panel, one die cut and one ribbon and I was done! Change up the colors and the greeting and, honestly, this card could be used for a whole lot of reasons.
Here's the Softly Falling embossing folder and the panel I used for the card above:
You can see how with the concentration of the dots at the top, it looks like something drifting down. But flipped over, it looks like something flowing UP! Or, drifting down and piling up and not being snow – like leaves! Or confetti……
I wanted to show you how I added adhesive to the back of this very finely cut greeting – when you are adhering one of these beauties to anything with texture you want as much sticky on the back as you can get but heaven forbid you end up with a glue booger! Check out this quick little video I did to demonstrate this trick:
This fresh take on this embossing folder is why I always encourage my stamping friends to shop your stash. Here I already had the Softly Falling embossing folder and the white card stock. I just HAD to have the new ribbon and the greeting Thinlit and by combining something I already had with new toys gave me a completely fresh look using this “winter” embossing folder.

Would the embossing folder work in the big shots from the cuttlebug..
Some of them do Suzanne, but not all of them.
Fun, quick, DARLING card! Thanks, Meg!
