Simple Love You Card

You know those moments when you need a love card, but don't want it all frilly hearts and overwhelming gush? Just a simple love you card, without all the fuss?

That's what I need today. Not a Valentine, not a “here for you” even though the message hints to that – just a casual card for a neighbor that's simply could use some love.

For this, I went with a different color palette to really show that it's not a Valentine. Night of Navy, Flirty Flamingo, and Crumb Cake make a stunning palette you can use for so many different cards.

Years ago, I made a similar card to this using an OLD stamp set called Simple Shapes. Where it has harsh lines of shapes, the Watercolor Shapes is softer and has that great wash look to it.

Watercolor Shapes adds dimension and texture – all with one stamp, which means instant win in my book.

See how each shape isn't fully filled in? That's how you get that great end result with a single stamp.

I used all circles for my card in those three colors.

Then, to add a fun sentiment, of “luv ya”, I turned to this bundle…

I have really enjoyed the Conversation Bubbles Bundle (try saying that three times fast, lol!) more than I thought I would. I figured I would like it, but I didn't know just how much I would actually use it.

The Project

Want to see what happens when you use that color combination with the Watercolor Shapes stamp set and the Conversations Bubbles?

You can make fun projects like this one here:

Want to see how this all comes together? (Fingers crossed that you say yes!) If you do, I have a video for you! It's right below the full supply list.

As this was coming together, I spent some time really thinking about my neighbor and what the message on the inside needs to be. That's one of the beauties of making your own cards. You can add touches, like the pink heart, based on who this card is going to. (She has a pink heart tattoo, but don't tell anyone I told you!)

The Supplies

Below is a list of supplies I used to create this card. To order these supplies from me, simply click on the products below that you need.

If your ordering over $50 in merchandise, and since it's during SAB, I would recommend choosing the Sending Support stamp set – as it will work great with the stamp set and bundle that I used in this project.

I no longer have product links for this company.
