We usually think to send birthday cards, Christmas cards, and anniversary cards, but if you are like me, the simple hello card is often forgotten.

These are often the most simple type of card to make! Today's project is a masculine card for a gentleman I know and adore. His wife passed away about 6 months ago, and he's been on my mind a lot lately. He's not much of a phone talker, and I feel like he deserves more than a text message.

So sending a simple hello card is spot on.

And it gave me a chance to use a new bundle too. Let's chat about that bundle…

In March, Stampin' Up! started a new way of introducing products. While I love a good catalog, I love new products more. How about you?

By simply releasing new products in the online world, I feel like they are stepping into the new century, lol! In other words, I feel like this has been way overdue.

So when they announced it, I was thrilled! If you like to see new items released on a regular basis, rather than just 3 times a year, the way to let them know that is by ordering the online exclusive items. That's what companies pay attention to!

I just got this order in, and the embossing folders are already sold out. Well, I am sure they sold out about 5 minutes after I made this video for you. These are coming back in stock, so be sure that you are on my email list so that you are the first to know when they are back in stock!

But this punch bundle is available, at least it is while I am writing this. Lemme show it to you…

How fun is this? I love the fonts and the sentiments, or as we say in Stamping Family, the fontiments. I love that they aren't too girlie or cutesy, they work really well for masculine cards but also work great for kids, teens, women, pets, neighbors (did you catch the pets part? I just had to throw that in to see if you were paying attention.)

I normally don't tend to purchase tropical type sets. It's not that I don't like them, I just usually see 1-2 uses out of them when I first see them. Which means they don't make the “versatility cut” in my books. But this one has a punch – which is a win – and it has great fontiments, so I went for it.

I'm really excited to do some different techniques with the leaves, so those ideas will be coming.

The Project

After all that talk, are you ready to see this fun project? Here it is…

How simple and fun is that? The 2 step stamping was super easy to line up, so I didn't even use my Stamparatus. I started with it, but I found I liked the way it stamped better without using the platform and just going with acrylic blocks.

And I want to gush about that embossing folder, but I don't think it would be fair to do that since you can't order it right now. It's projected to be back in stock around the beginning of May.

You can use many different folders with this stamp and punch bundle.

And do you see that simple little strip of Crumb Cake card stock under the sentiment layer? That little scrap helps that sentiment jump off the page.

The enamel dots are the finishing touch and this card is not only complete, but ready to go to the perfect gentleman.

The Supplies

Like I said above, the perfect way to let SU know that you want to see more products released more frequently is to order these online items. I am listing the embossing folders below, so that you can see them and so that the list is complete.

But I would grab this punch bundle while you can!
