Today I was working with my favorite dies from the Jan-Apr catalog, they are the Alphabet A La Mode dies and they are as yummy as they sound!

My first thought when I got them was that these would be a game changer when it comes to using up my scraps! These are not only a trendy font, but the size is IDEAL for working with scraps.

So if you have card stock scraps, keep reading. If you don't, I really don't understand how you don't, lol! Scraps are everywhere!

Let me show you this set of dies…

Now, before we go any further, I want you to take note of something very important. You will want Adhesive Sheets with these. It will make your life so much easier! I can't imagine working with these dies without Adhesive Sheets.

They are giant sticker makers. They are like a large double sided sticky, with a top covering and a backing. You peel off the backing of the sticker sheet and add it to one side of your card stock. Then die cut through your card stock/adhesive sheet combo. Then peel off the other sticker cover and bam – instant sticker!

Look at that amazing use of scraps! It just feels good to use them up!

When I use these, I do run them through my die cutting machine twice, since your card stock will be thicker. I think it works better, but it just depends on your machine.

Speaking of machines, my beloved Big Shot is on it's last leg. A while back I did purchase the big new die cutting machine from Stampin' Up! And it's not that I don't like the new one, I just can sometimes struggle with change. Does that sound at all familiar?

In the supplies below, I did list the both the Mini Machine and the biggin' (as I lovingly call it) even though the picture below show the bigger machine. For this card, you can use either. I thought I would add some dry embossing to my card, so I just grabbed the bigger machine, and then changed my mind on the embossing. But either the biggin' or the mini will work.

And if you are looking at switching machines, there's never been a better time than now to get one of these machines. It's Sale-a-Bration, so your purchases count towards free items – like the paper that I used today.

The Dandy Designs DSP is a pack of 12″ x 12″ paper with 48 sheets!!! And it's pretty! This paper is a selection with a $100 purchase. So get you a biggin' and get free paper! Get the dies and the Mini and get the free paper 🙂
