One of my favorite things to make and share are projects that come from a simple card design that can be repurposed over and over. This card is definitely one of those!

A simple card design featuring a pretty monochromatic color scheme - see the details!

Using a monochromatic color scheme and one large focal image is always a great way to start the foundations of a simple but very sweet card like this one. From there you can build your layers to add dimension and visual interest.

For this card, I added a small patch of a plaid background to help make the daisy stand out. PRO TIP: Use your ink pad to haphazardly ink your stamp and stamp as is. This gives you those lovely uneven edges that you can see in this closeup. This unevenness adds that visual interest that makes the eye move over that section to take in all the details.

Above you can also see that I popped up my layered daisy on dimensional adhesive and added another little touch of detail with a snippet of trim (leftover from another project!) of stitched scallops. The white strip with the greeting is punched with that fabulous new three-in-one Lovely Labels punch adding even more details. All these little things add up to make this card LOOK more complex but using one color and one focal element keep that simple card design forward.

A simple card design featuring a cute paper daisy can be made in no time - come see how!

The word die was adhered using the Adhesive Sheets and I have to say that making these intricate dies into little stickers with these sheets sure beats sponging on the adhesive or squinting to get the fine point of your applicator only on the word! Adhere your cardstock first and then cut so you don't get the little adhesive spiderwebby things! SUPER easy!
