For this card, I paired the Rounded Hex Cover Die with the adorable But First Coffee patterned paper, and honestly… they were made for each other.
The soft coffee cup patterns peeking through each section create so much visual interest without making the card feel busy.

Why I Love This Design
This is one of my favorite types of cards to create because it looks fancy while secretly being incredibly easy.
The Rounded Hex Cover Die acts almost like a built-in sketch.
Instead of wondering:
- Where should layers go?
- How do I fill this background?
- Does this need more detail?
…the die answers all of those questions for you automatically.
It creates separate sections that frame the patterned paper beautifully, so even simple papers suddenly look elevated and intentional.

Final Thoughts
I genuinely think the Rounded Hex Cover Die is one of those “you’ll use it way more than you expect” products.
It works with:
- patterned paper
- ink blended backgrounds
- cardstock scraps
- seasonal papers
- clean and simple cards
- detailed layered cards
And because the design itself is doing so much of the work, you can make beautiful cards quickly without feeling overwhelmed.
And honestly? This card scores pretty high on the MIYO scale… because when a single die does this much of the heavy lifting, we happily take the win 😂
