Want to see a simple project that uses Reason for the Season Stampin' Up! AND use up a bunch of those card scraps you have lying around?

This is the PERFECT set to use up a lot of scraps – and not have a scrappy card!

I will be the first to admit that it was a challenge getting into the Christmas spirit this morning.  It is only 89 degrees out, I am in shorts, a tank top and flip flops.

I tried to play Christmas music to get into the mood, but that didn't work either.

So what is my secret to get into it this morning?

My secret is…

Picture the person you are sending it to.  What kind of bundled up look was she sporting when she braved the cold to check her mailbox?  Is it snowing there?  Did she have to drink more coffee to warm herself up?  Is she flipping through envelopes containing the dreaded bills and then comes across mine?  Does it bring a smile to her face?

Whenever I feel creatively stuck – I always picture the person this is going to.  And that helps soooooo much!

I wanted to keep this card simple, yet have a stunning element on it.  And that is where the poinsettia comes into play.  These only take minutes to make and are a FANTABULOUS way to use up scraps of any shades of red you have accumulated over the past year.  Stamp and punch your way into Poinsettia Perfection with the Reason for the Season stamp set and coordinating punch!

To help it pop off the card just a bit, I added it a Whisper White card stock circle.

The sentiment comes from the same Reason for the Season Stampin Up! stamp set.

And a strip of the Crushed Curry with a button and bow on it, added a little balance to the card.
