092 Quilt cards are all the rage right now. There are several ways to do them. You just have to choose a design that you like, and there  you have it! Start out with 3/4 x 3/4 inch squares – if you have the 3/4 square punch that Stampin' Up! used to sell that makes it all that much more easy to complete your card. There are a lot of great quilt websites in the world of the internet that you can find different quilt blocks.

It is very easy to get started, and a very handy way Quiltpatternstarfor yet another use for your grid paper.

I started out with this quilt block pattern  I punched out all the 3/4 x 3/4 squares first in all the card stock colors or patterns from the designer series paper that I wanted or needed. for this pattern I used 8 Cherry Cobbler card stock pieces, 4 Baja Breeze card stock pieces, and 4 of the DSP pieces.

I cut the Baja Breeze and all the dsp pieces in half one time from corner to corner diagonally. I also cut 4 of the Cherry Cobbler card stock pieces in half the same way as well.

088 Start out doing the first "L" shape first. The grid paper will help you keep it all in line. I have found the easiest way for me is to put my Snail adhesive down first in all the squares of the grid paper I am going to need it. That way I don't have to worry about getting it all over everything else.

as you can see to the left side this is how the first part of your quilt square should look like. Oh and yes, adhere it to the grid paper.

089 Start in with the second "L" and you can start to see your quilt starting to form. Just follow the pattern above and yours will look outstanding!

090 Finish up your quilt block. The squares may not line up completely perfect – but remember  you can always trim it up a little.

After you are done getting your squares down, take a white gel pen and make white 'x's" all over the the "seam lines" to make it look as if you brought out the sewing machine and stitched your square.

cut it all out and run through your big shot with the lattice textured impressions folder. This folder will give it a nice texture to make it look like a real little quilt.

after you have this all done, mount it with your favorite card layout.

I should be back in a couple of days, I hope you have enjoyed what I have had for you while I am out. I will have so much great news and photos for you all! I cannot wait to tell you all about the trip.
