Quick and Easy Christmas Card

Today is the official start to the new Holiday Catalog with Stampin Up and that means it's also time for a quick and easy Christmas card idea featuring some new fun products!

We will be using my new favorite background stamp, the Buffalo Check background – LOVE THIS!!  And we will be pairing it with another stamp set for our sentiment.

Here is what we are making today:

This card should take you less than 5 minutes to make, you can assembly line the pieces to be more efficient if you want to make a handful of these – and another big thing…

There is no die cutting and no punching!  So if you are short on time, or you are just getting into this craft and you don't have the big, fancy toys – with this one, you don't need them.  It's VERY economical, there will be a cost breakdown for you below.

The Measurements

Whisper White:  4-1/4″ x 11″ or 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″; 4″ x 5-1/4″; 1-1/2″ x 3-3/8″

Old Olive:  1-3/4″ x 3-5/8″

Real Red:  4″ x 1-1/2″

 

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Cut and score all of your card stock to above measurements.

2.  Stamp all of your 4″ x 5-1/4″ panels using your Buffalo Check background stamp and your Real Red ink pad.

3.  Stamp all of your sentiments in Real Red ink.

4.  Tie all of your Real Red bows using your 10 Second Bow Maker.

5.  Assemble your pieces together as shown.

6.  Finish by adding your bows and your rhinestones to dot your “i”s.

The Cost Breakdown

This list assumes you have clear blocks for the stamp sets.  To make 80 cards you would need:

  • 2 packages of Whisper White card stock ($9.75 x 2 = $19.50)
  • 1 package of Old Olive card stock ($8.50)
  • 1 package of Real Red card stock ($8.50)
  • 2 spools of Real Red Ribbon ($7 x 2 = $14)
  • 1 Real Red ink pad ($7.50)
  • 1 Buffalo Check stamp ($15)
  • 1 Making Christmas Bright Stamp Set ($21)
  • 2 packages of Rhinestone Jewels – if you want them all the same size ($5 x 2 = $10)

Total:  $104 plus shipping and tax – making it $1.30 per card.

 

Making More

If you want to make another 80, all you would need is:

  • 2 packages of Whisper White card stock ($9.75 x 2 = $19.50)
  • 2 spools of Real Red Ribbon ($7 x 2 = $14)
  • 2 packages of Rhinestone Jewels – if you want them all the same size ($5 x 2 = $10)

Total for Making More:  $43.2 plus shipping and tax – making it $.54 per card
