I recently rewatched the movie "Pursuit of Happyness", and it made me think about the Pursuit of Happiness stamp set. This is a set that I have seen a hundred times in the Stampin' Up! catalog, always loved it and never ordered it. Then last month, I ordered it and it has sat on my desk ever since. This morning, I had an idea for a card and could not find the right sentiment. I knew everything about this card, including my new awesome, fabulous color combination – but could not come up with the right words.
I sat down at my desk to finish my coffee and lifted my coffee up off of it's unusual coaster (that was a stamp set called Pursuit of Happiness) and there was the sentiment that was perfect for what I wanted the message to be in this card. It was there all along, sitting right under my coffee, that was right under my nose. (I love the smell of coffee!)
It should be a contest on Minute to Win It – "How fast can you put a stamp set together when you want to use it RIGHT NOW". I bet that set was together in less than 45 seconds! I was so excited to stamp with the sentiment below.
(Recently I rec'd an email telling me how much this lady enjoyed my rambling on my blog – how she can picture me doing all the scatterbrained (my word, not hers) things I do when creating a card and how it tickles her. I certainly hope that you feel the same way, because this is just who I am.)
Now, onto the card – with my new FAV-orite color combo: Raspberry Ripple, Old Olive and Pretty in Pink
Stampin' Up! Stamps: Pursuit of Happiness (wm: 121907 cm: 121970), Itty Bitty Bits (wm: 117056 cm: 120060), Four Frames (wm: 123440 cm: 123442)
Stampin' Up! Ink: Raspberry Ripple (126859), Old Olive (126953)
Stampin' Up! Cardstock: Raspberry Ripple (126842), Old Olive (100702), Pretty in Pink (126955), Whisper White (100730)
Stampin' Up! For the inside, I kept it super simple, I just added a few flowers from the Itty Bitty Bits stamp set in Raspberry Ripple, then did faux stitching around my Whisper White layer, add a touch of Old Olive behind it and wham- instant inside for your card!
To order any of these supplies listed above you can use their individual links or you can go here and then I suggest adding the item numbers into the search bar to add them to your bag.
