It seems like everyone is having a baby boy right now (and after reading a weeks worth of Thomas the Tank Engine with Emily – trains are on the brain) and I am more than addicted to punch art again right now, so why not make a punch art train? I loved using all the hearts for this accents of the train.
I mixed up hearts for the card front. All different sizes of hearts. Also, I didn't want any baby blue, but I didn't want a super bright blue or a navy blue and I think this fits the bill, it is Island Indigo. This is probably one of the easiest punch art cards you can make.
The other day, I received an email from an interested, but not yet papercrafter, who wanted to know if you can save time by making your own cards. She can see the appeal, but is it practical? There are so many levels to papercrafting, you can go from simple to the extreme. But this is the way that I see it…
For me, I am lucky if I can remember to get all the groceries at the store that are on my list, and I can't stand going to the grocery store! By the time I get through the grocery section, the last thing I want to do is stand in front of the card section while my (must-have) ice cream melts in my cart, and search and search and hope to find a "card that works". And if I have to get in my car and go to a store just to buy a card, we are talking about a 45 minute trip, just for a card!
This card is one that can be made in under 5 minutes. Seriously, less than five minutes! And I do believe that as long as you have duct tape, WD40 and punches, you can do anything. Punches are the best accessories for paper crafters.
