A sweet and simple pumpkin card handstamped and ready to send for Halloween

You can see that even though this card is pretty simple, there's still plenty going on. The white on white layers, the greeting in the corner, the stitching on the square, the tiny peek of orange scallops and the tiny linen thread bow are all, on their own, a whole lotta not-so-much. But all together, they really add a lot of collective impact.

Here's a closer look at that cute, fat pumpkin:

You will notice that the pumpkin has been raised up using Stampin' Dimensionals to create that element of depth, as does the shading on the pumpkin itself created with the easy use of Stampin' Blends. Put that detail together with all the others and you've got a pumpkin card that is cute enough to send to a youngster but understated enough to use as a well-wish to anyone.

The Making of This Pumpkin Card:

  • Adhere a panel of Whisper White card stock that is slight smaller than your card front to the card.
  • Stamp your pumpkin and leaf in Tuxedo Black on a scrap of Whisper White card stock.Punch out pumpkin and fussy cut the leaf.
  • Color both with Stampin' Blends.
  • Die cut a strip from a scrap of Pumpkin Pie card stock using the die from Stitched Be Mine; cut a square from Whisper White card stock to fit the pumpkin using Stitched Shapes Dies.
  • Punch a stem using a scrap of Cinnamon Cider card stock.
  • Stamp the greeting in the lower right corner of the white panel using Tuxedo Black.
  • Adhere the stitched white square in that corner, tucking and adhering the Pumpkin Pie scalloped strip behind.
  • Adhere the leaf and stem to the pumpkin; adhere the pumpkin to the square using Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • Use the 10 Second Bow Maker to make a tiny bow from Linen Thread and adhere using a glue dot.
