Last week in Stamping Family, we had a Color Challenge Zoom. It was so much fun and everyone's cards were so different.

I love these challenges, because during them, I get to be a member and craft along with them. And I love them because while we all used similar colors, our cards were so vastly different.

It's always a great reminder that simply changing up colors, you can make the same card look remarkably different.

Anytime you find yourself in a creative rut, play around with some different colors than you normally would. Also try something new.

It's been a while since I have used blending brushes on my patterned paper, so I took that idea and paired it with patterned paper I have wanted to use, but didn't want to use the paper only in black and white as it comes.

This is one of my most favorite paper packs ever, it's a host selection item. I love that this pattern is in black and white, but I have been adding color with it only with card stock layers.

The Color Challenge pushed me to do something new and I love how it turned out.

My color challenge to you is this… grab some colors that you haven't played with in a bit. You can use this one if you like, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Granny Apple Green, and Balmy Blue.

Give it a whirl and see how it turns out.

While the doors to Stamping Family are currently closed to new registrations, you can get on the waitlist for it here.

XOXO, Meg
