Paper Easter Basket Craft
Today you get to learn how to make this fun paper Easter basket craft! This bad boy has been sitting on my desk for over a week waiting for me to share it. I am not sure what I had, but I have spent more time in bed that outta it here lately, so sorry for the delay in sharing this!
The great news is that if you have some “staple” dies, then all you need is one more.
To make the shape of our basket, you will want the Wood Crate Framelits.
When you get them, all the score lines are taken care of for you, as well as the little slits in the sides and the handles – all you need to do is die cut two pieces of card stock with the largest framelit from that set. For mine, I went with Crumb Cake. (It is really easy to put the box together!)
But then it came down to the bunny. I didn't have a stamp big enough or punch for is the right bunny size, so time to “think out of the box” and make our own!
The Color Palette
For this entire project, I used just a handful of colors:
- Crumb Cake (for the crate)
- Pink Pirouette (for the nose and the inside of the ears)
- Whisper White (for the outside of the ears and the face)
- So Saffron (for the bow)
- Basic Black (marker for the eyes and whiskers)
The Bunny Parts
For this I used a heart die (from the Sweet & Sassy framelits) and the Layering Ovals Framelits, that gave me both the scallop oval and the regular oval. I also added in a 1/2″ circle punch, and I made my bunny a girl by adding in the Bow Builder Punch.
Here are pictures for you so that you know exactly what sizes I used:

The Assembly
Layer together all the die cuts with your heart upside down – honestly, this is so simple to put together! When you make yours you will see that in just a handful of minutes this cutie box is ready to go. What took me the longest was putting together the bow!
The Supplies
Here is a list of the supplies that I used to make this paper Easter basket craft. To order any of items that you need, simply click on a picture below and you will be ordering through me and I will be grateful!
