Today is a very exciting day for OLO fans because one of the most requested products in OLO history is finally here for pre-order: the brand-new OLO Fine Nib!

And here's the part I've been bursting to tell you…

I was one of the beta testers!

For months I've been using Fine Nib prototypes in several colors and keeping this project completely under wraps. Let me tell you, that has not been easy!

If you've ever wished for more control when coloring tiny areas, adding details, sketching, writing, or working around intricate stamped images, this is exactly what you've been waiting for.

Why This Fine Nib Is Different

This wasn't a simple nib swap.

Because OLO markers use their patented free-flow ink system, creating a Fine Nib that met OLO's standards required extensive engineering, testing, and refinement.

The result is a Fine Nib that delivers:

✔ Smooth, controlled ink flow

✔ Consistent performance without scratching, skipping, flooding, or dry strokes

✔ Exceptional detail for intricate coloring and small spaces

✔ The blendability OLO users already love

✔ Professional-looking results with cleaner details and smoother finishes

My Experience as a Beta Tester

One of the things that impressed me most during testing was how natural the Fine Nib feels. It doesn't fight the paper, and it doesn't feel scratchy like some fine tips can.

The control makes it much easier to color detailed stamped images, work around tiny elements, and create crisp finishing touches without sacrificing the smooth blending performance that makes OLO markers so enjoyable to use.

As someone who spends a lot of time coloring stamped images, I immediately saw how useful these would be for card making.

During beta testing, I found myself reaching for the Fine Nib whenever I was coloring detailed stamped images. It gave me the control I wanted without sacrificing the smooth coloring experience I already love about OLO markers.

Part of my feedback to OLO Markers was this, “My Impression after having 7 of the OLO Marker Fine Nib for testing, is that I rapidly need the other 249 colors!”

The OLO System You Already Love

One of the things that first drew me to OLO markers was their unique half-marker design, and the new Fine Nib fits perfectly into that system.

Each OLO half-marker contains 2ml of ink, which means a complete double-ended OLO marker holds 4ml of ink. To put that into perspective, many traditional alcohol markers hold about 2ml of ink total.

But it isn't just about having more ink. OLO's patented free-flow ink technology is designed to use over 90% of the ink inside the marker, meaning less ink gets left behind when compared to traditional marker systems.

For us crafters, that translates into more coloring, more card making, and more creative time before reaching for a refill.

The new Fine Nib is available as a half-marker, making it easy to pair with the OLO marker halves you already own. Whether you choose a Fine Nib and Brush combination or customize your markers to fit your coloring style, you'll get the same generous ink capacity, smooth ink flow, and blendability that made you fall in love with OLO in the first place.

It's a clever system that gives you more flexibility, more usable ink, and now, more precision than ever before.

This Launch Is Different

Unlike a traditional product release, the Fine Nib is launching as a community-powered campaign.

The goal is to reach the production milestone needed to manufacture all 256 Fine Nib colors.

Every pre-order helps move the project closer to full production.

Throughout the campaign, OLO will be sharing progress updates, community milestones, production news, and behind-the-scenes content so we can all watch the journey unfold together.

Why Your Reservation Matters

One of the things I love most about this campaign is that it gives us an opportunity to do more than simply purchase a new product.

By reserving your Fine Nib set, you're helping bring a brand-new innovation to the creative community. You're showing companies like OLO that card makers, colorists, artists, and crafters still value thoughtful product development and are excited to support new ideas.

Every reservation helps demonstrate that there is a demand for tools designed to make our creative time more enjoyable and rewarding. It sends a powerful message that investing in research, engineering, and innovation is worth the effort.

In a world where many products simply imitate what's already available, the OLO Fine Nib represents something different: a company listening to its community and creating a solution specifically designed for its unique marker system.

If you've ever enjoyed being among the first to try something new, this is your chance to be part of the story from the very beginning. Years from now, when Fine Nibs are available across the full OLO color range, you'll know you helped make that happen.

Pre-Order Options

The Fine Nib is currently available in three discounted pre-order sets:

• 64 Colors – 10% Off

• 128 Colors – 15% Off

• 256 Colors – 20% Off

If you've been waiting for more precision and control from your OLO markers, now is the perfect time to help bring the Fine Nib collection to life.

This pre-order takes place on a separate website than OLO's main site. Below is my aff link. They want to know which category of crafter is most interested in this new nib, and I think it will be us papercrafters. Can you help prove that right?

A Note About Timing

Let's talk about the elephant in the craft room for a minute. 😊

Production and delivery are currently planned for Spring 2027.

Now, before you start calculating how many cards you'll make between now and then, remember that this isn't a typical product launch. This is a community helping bring an entirely new product line to life.

The upside? OLO isn't cutting corners. They're taking the time needed to manufacture all 256 Fine Nib colors and ensure they meet the same standards we've come to expect from the brand.

Think of it as getting a backstage pass to the product development journey. You'll get to watch the campaign progress, celebrate milestones with the community, and know that you played a part in bringing one of the most requested OLO products ever into the world.

That's a pretty cool thing to be able to say: “I was there from the beginning.”
