There's a new size of Glass Craft Mat that was released today with Glassboard Studios!

It's called the Scrapbook Magnetic Glass Craft Mat.

While it's no secret that I don't scrapbook anymore, I can't tell you how excited I was for this release.

Let's chat about the new Scrapbook Magnetic Glass Craft Mat first and then we will get to that part later.

Direct from their website, it says:

“Created with the help of experienced scrapbookers, this premium glass mat is built specifically for layout design, photo placement, trimming, and paper crafting. The 14″ × 26” mat features a full 12″ × 24″ scrapbook grid with specialized markings to make every project easier, cleaner, and more precise. Made from ultra-clear ¼” tempered glass with a magnetic backing, it delivers a smooth, durable, and highly functional workspace for scrapbooking and mixed media.”

I tried to re-write it, but honestly, they said it better than I ever could.

For me, non- scrapbooker here, here's what I love about the size of it…

  • The size isn't as deep as my other large Glassboard Studios Mat. Mine other is an 18″ x 24″, which I truly love, but it's very deep and takes up most of my counter space. This one only being 14″ deep is the perfect size for my craft space.
  • To me, I feel like it was made for mass producing cards. So many of our card making products start as 12″ x 12″, so the dimensions are perfect for spacing out our projects into sections to make a lot of cards.
  • It has Greeting Card Guides right on it – these are popular card sizes marked for quick reference
  • And for the obvious, it's magnetic – which is a game changer in my books compared to my previous glass pieces that weren't.

First, let's just take notice of that magnetic board beauty right there!

Sigh….

She's so pretty!!!

Next, do you see all that extra counter space I have now to fill with useless items that I will pull out to maybe put on my cards but never will?

And yes, I did clean up just for you!

Treat Yourself!

Over the past several years, I have been very, very selective on what to spend my money on. And VERY selective on what products come into my craft room.

I now have 3 of these mats from Glassboard Studios. I liked the owner so much when I met her, I loved getting a feel for the glass craft mats and magnets, and it felt like a great product with a small business I want to support.

To me, that says it all. It's been such a joy to work with small business owners this past year. I get so excited over their releases because I see how much hard work goes into every item they release!

A blessing in my craft room was getting rid of all my grid scratch paper and moving to these. The glass boards are so easy to clean, no more dealing with trying to get thousands of uses out of disposable sheets.

If you are in the same spot, treat yourself to a Glassboard Studio Mat today!
